Re-Animated! volume 1 released...

I will add it to the proper 9LL page a little later, but wanted to announce it on the front page first.
Ten previously unreleased demos, completely re-recorded for 2012. Grab it here:

Vocals finished last weekend.  The mix is almost there.  Everything looks good for a September release.

Progress!

Vocals left to record on two songs; everything else is done.  I'll go out on a limb and venture that I might have a final mix for Volume 1 in another month.

Splitting the backlog of songs into two volumes.  Volume One - ten good ol' punk rock tunes.  Volume Two - ten to twelve rock/pop/alt tunes.  I'm not planning to release Volume One and Two at the same time.  There might even be another project dropped in between them.

Currently, Volume One has all drums, bass, and rhythm guitar parts tracked, with a running time of about 25 minutes.  One song has all the lead guitar recorded as well; now on to the rest of the pickin' and singin'.

I managed to recover pretty much everything from the "lost demos" of 1998-99.  There are a bunch of songs in the bunch that I still really like, but the recordings aren't what I'd call release-quality.  I have everything I need to start re-recording them with modern technology though, so that's the plan!

I have procured the temporary use of a nice cassette deck and the digitizing & remastering has begun for all of the remaining old stuff I can find.  Release the kraken!
